The Arkley Center for the Performing Arts is closing its doors, at least for now. A Security National press release states the center on G Street in Eureka will close in July for “much-need repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep.

| Five Mendocino Co. defendants removed to state prison |

In addition to Robert White's previously-reported 98 years-to-life state prison commitment, four other defendants were sentenced to state prison in Mendocino County Superior Court on Friday, raising the total number of defendants removed to state prison from Mendocino County in this calendar year to 60, according to the office of District Attorney David Eyster.
