City, G-P settle lawsuit after two years
Fort Bragg Mayor Dave Turner announced Tuesday, Sept. 16, that the city of Fort Bragg and Georgia-Pacific, LLC (G-P) have agreed to settle a multi-million dollar lawsuit that the city has been fighting for the past two years.

• One day this week H. H. Brown and wife took a boat ride up the river, and to add to the pleasure of the trip they indulged in trolling for salmon, the result of which was the capture of a 6-pound black codfish and the first salmon caught in Big River this season.

Anderson Valley Takes the Apple Bowl
The Mendocino Cardinals football team travelled to Boonville last Friday night to revive the Apple Bowl football game, a late-summer favorite for decades that had been interrupted for the past several years, but is back now that Mendocino and the Anderson Valley Panthers both have strong football programs again.

Looking south on School Street at Saturday's Fabulous Flashback car show: Entrants to this year's show filled about six city blocks with color and chrome. Revving engines and flashy paint jobs took over downtown Ukiah much of Saturday as classic car owners showed off their pride and joys in the 24th Annual Fabulous Flashback Car Show.
