A 'sad day for Eureka'; Arkley Center for the Performing Arts to close
The Arkley Center for the Performing Arts is closing its doors, at least for now. A Security National press release states the center on G Street in Eureka will close in July for “much-need repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep.

The Mendocino County Sheriff's Office is investigating the question of whether the body of Mendocino County 5th District Supervisor Dan Hamburg's wife was buried legally, Sheriff Tom Allman said Tuesday.

Five Mendocino Co. defendants removed to state prison
Ukiah Daily Journal In addition to Robert White's previously-reported 98 years-to-life state prison commitment, four other defendants were sentenced to state prison in Mendocino County Superior Court on Friday, raising the total number of defendants removed to state prison from Mendocino County in this calendar year to 60, according to the office of District Attorney David Eyster.
