The internet has already had a huge impact on how society is structured.

Four areas that are ripe for future changes are:

• Entertainment: YouTube and web sites such as these are just the beginning of the computer replacing the TV as the principle source of entertainment.

• Music: The record companies are already reeling from the downloading of songs over the Internet. The last straw will be when a new band becomes famous via the Internet, completely bypassing the record companies. When this happens a whole new approach to the music business will be inevitable.

• Real Estate: Although licensed Real Estate agents are loath to admit it, the free flow of information over the Internet has made finding listings as available to the public as to the Real Estate Broker. The Real Estate Broker's job is in the process of being reduced to a consultant for transactions. "For Sale By Owner" transactions will become more of the norm than the exception.

• Politics: Both political news and fund raising is gravitating towards the Internet. One proposal for a New Political Party mentioned in Wikideas would use the Internet to establish a social network of members.
