Network of Power Transmission Lines

For solar power or wind to be viable sources of energy, a national network of power transmission lines needs to be created, in order to connect where the energy is most abundant (Nevada Desert, Rocky Mountains) to where it is most needed (Coastal cities, etc.).

An important aspect of this network of power lines is that the public should have access to the use of these lines, so that anyone can easily buy energy from anyone, anywhere efficiently, thereby creating a more open, competitive energy market.
