Nuclear Fusion
From Wikideas
Although still in the experimental stage, nuclear fusion holds emense promise for future energy needs. Nuclear fusion, as opposed to fission, has the advantages of:
1) not having radioactive waste, since it involves the combining of atoms (not the breaking apart of atoms), plus
2) the fuel for these reactors is simply hydrogen, which is much more abundant than uranium.
I believe France, in cooperation with other nations, is currently trying to build a prototype nuclear fusion power plant.
