Progressive Income Tax
From Wikideas
A simpler tax code is obviously needed. Conservatives make the valid point that using the tax code for social engineering often backfires. But then they offer a proposals which include a reversion to a "flat tax". An overriding principle is that those that are more involved in society and benefit most from it, should also pay for it.
A simpler tax code, without loopholes for special interest groups or credits targeting specific groups would be to everyone's advantage. But it should also be coupled with a progressive tax rate structure, where higher income people pay a larger share of the income tax.
