There is much discussion about the intrusion of government regulations. One area where this is not controversial is in protecting the health of the general public. The government has an inherent obligation to constrain activities that have an adverse health impact on the general public. Such areas include making sure we have clean air and water, that our food supply is safe, and that we are not exposed to toxic chemicals.
